This huge brand just announced that they will stop using any fabric; raw material that require any form of killing. It instantly reminded me the fabric class we had, where we assembled garments from recycled fabrics. More and more brands, companies are pursuing a more sustainable path, using more organic materials for a less harmful environmental impact. It is definitely a big move for brands to emerge to the sustainable path. I saw this documentary on Youtube from Vice about the environmental impact in the fashion industry, that also reminded me the garment class we had. I have never thought of making clothes would make such an environmental impact before the class. We will be making things in the kombucha lab in the upcoming weeks, I will see what I can make in this organic, sustainable way.
