Juyeon, Lin, and I worked together as a group in this project. Our assigned neighborhood is the East Village and we need to create a zine showing that area with the five senses. We first went to the East Village to take photos and to find inspirations, then each of us worked on parts of the zine. I was in charge of the “taste” part, the cover, and the back. I also assembled everyone’s pages into an Indesign file so that this zine can be easily reproduced. We added a hand-made element with painted modeling paste in the “touch” part when describing the tree barks so that readers can actually feel the texture.
