REVISED DESIGN BRIEF PARAGRAPH

After decades of industrial expansion coupled with growing populations and cities, the earth has become covered in concrete.  From coast to coast, mother nature has been buried under tonnes of toxic waste and industrial materials. However, with the population shrinking because of the new government regulations, many people are moving out of smaller cities and towns and leaving behind abandoned concrete jungles, inhospitable for plants. Cultivate is designed to address this issue, creating a vessel that grows and cares for a young tree or plant.  When the plant has reached maturity Cultivate has the ability to transplant it into the ground drilling the biodegradable capsule through the concrete and providing the necessary nutrients for the maturing plant.  The base of the system is easy to buy and the top is removable, allowing for quick reforestation of a ghost city.
