So Monday Ben and I visited the MoMA, We saw “Christopher Williams:The Production Line of Happiness”.
Being a huge photography fan, I found this exhibition super interesting. The main theme, as I understood it, had to deal with the theme “Fake”, because almost everything was shot in some sort of studio, or manipulated in some way. Even the pictures of people were posed, and unnatural.
Here are a few pieces I found interesting:
This particular type of beetle is a “feigning death (or dead, or something) beetle” (Fake anyone?)
Ben said this picture reminded him of Tel-Aviv. Its actually a beach in Cuba.
This is actually a lighting test for a photo shoot. Still unsure why she is in towels (??) (something about the color maybe?)
And ditto. (love the photography of a machine that is used for photography)
