Studio 2: Bridge Project 2

Reflection

My final collage is focused on the riots which occurred at Capital Hill, fueled by trump supporters. The face at the top of the collage represents the pain in which racism and injustice have on black people. The pain’s overwhelming effects are so much so that the face can no longer be held together. Red tears stream out of the face’s eyes, covering the bubble of trump and his supporters below. They have out blood on their hands, as the saying goes. You can also see the clear difference between the black behind the face and the white behind the trump supporters. This separation is representative of the division between the two parties. In its entirety, the piece is capturing the perspective of the black experience behind the scenes; we aren’t always strong and immune to the hatred of our people.
