Assignment #3: Yarn, Cardboard, and Wire Designs

For this particular assignment, we had to come up with a design or used a template to outline the figure of the design using various three-dimensional linear mediums. The materials we used were thin yarn or rope, cardboard, and 16 gauge wire. I came up with a design inspired by the fashion trends of the Salsa dancers in Latin America from the 1950’s. I used the three different materials to reproduce the design three-dimensionally by first creating the silhouette and then filling it in. My favorite materials were the yarn and wire.
