Pant: Final Presentation

Designer’s Statement

For this pant project I decided to create a sort of unconventional and fun pant that is very elegant in its design. I began by draping the image of the pant that I somewhat had in my mind and marking it. I created pleats that go around the legs in which I included in-seam pockets within those pleats so the person who wears it can have a fashionable and secret place to store any belongings. I created a low hem on the front and a high hem on the back to play around with the shape of the pant. The fabrics I chose were a sort of neon pin and a black shear polyester that contained a shiny surface. I feel as though these two fabrics represented that fun and unconventional style that I aimed to create when designing my pant.
