The goal of this project was to focus on time and sequences. I had to display a series of 20 photos with one clear subject and show the connected events. I decided to show the process of painting your fingers and toes, and for an aesthetic aspect I had the nail color go from white to black. Since there are ten fingers and ten toes I wanted to display the final photos in an accordion format. Looking at the final product from opposite sides will give the viewer a different experience. I liked my overall concept and enjoyed taking the photos and painting my friends nails. I also liked my choice of adding color paper as a boarder to the photos. It showed the progress of the color change from light to dark and brought out the paint color of the nail. I wish I didn’t use cardboard to make the accordion, but I needed a stable base for the photos. I had trouble cutting and scoring the cardboard to be the correct measurements, and that effected my overall appearance of the project. Also I wish that the project could of been presented on the wall, but the cardboard was too thick.
