The Lion and The Mouse – Charlotte Damson-2l2zcl9

Overall I really enjoyed this project. I got to take a childhood fable and create my own representation of it. While creating my artwork I had to think of placement, scale, proportion of frames, imagery, and text.

I used watercolor to create all the illustrations, scanned the images onto my computer and used InDesign to create the layout and place the text and dialogue.

I am pleased with the overall look of my graphic novel, and this project inspired me to create more illustrations and cartoons. During the class critique I was told that the front doesn’t match the story and my images should have borders around them. I agree with these statements, and will consider these improvements for other projects.
