The next step was to train my hand and eye to create a container and another form that inhabited the container. It was a challenging process as origami has never come naturally to me, but I found that by simply exploring different folds and patterns that the container could create itself. I learnt how to create a form that held something else, which would aid my process of creating an accessory. It also helped me in further exploring folding patterns and asymmetry in origami. Through the making of these containers, I learnt how one form could exist within another, complementing each other and the shapes they created. Finally, making these containers trained both my eye and hand skills, prepping me for handling the material I would use for my product. The creative spatial awareness activity allowed me to fully understand three dimensional forms and the tangibility that comes along with these containers.
