Integrative Seminar: Pigeonpolis (In class write- my fantasy world)

There is a city of pigeons. The pigeons in the city are people who we can see in our everyday lives. There are mother pigeons, businessmen pigeons, homeless pigeons, and so on. The buildings of this city is on the form of bird cages. The city welcomes any pigeon, however, there is one requirement in order for the pigeon to attain its citizenship: the pigeon must clip the tip of its wings off, losing its ability to fly.

The protagonist of my fantasy world is a young teenage pigeon who is faced with the struggle of making the decision of whether to give up its wings or to give up a community. The young pigeon decides to protect his wings and flies away from the city to an isolated area. He is happy because he is able to fly freely, anywhere, and do anything he desires.

The seasons change from the blooming flowers of pink to the green leaves of summer, to the amber leaves of fall, and finally, to the naked trees of winter. As time passes, the young pigeon soon realizes that even complete freedom has its own consequence: loneliness.

It is a cold winter, and snow is piled up on the ground. The pigeon starts making a snowbird. The pigeon tries to hug the snowbird but accidentally knocks its head off in the process.

The young pigeon slowly walks back to the city. Then he gets his wings clipped off.
