Photo Frame Contrast

Brassai’s photograph of night in Paris displays the sleepiness of the night and the culture of the city. On the other hand Guy Bourdin’s work displays a sense of freeness in the 70s where people had just begin to openly experiment with different sexualities. It is very much a fashion cover where everything was made to look the way it does for the photograph as opposed Brassai’s more classical perhaps more spontaneous photograph.
