Clip taken from the Great Gatsby. The concept of freezing a moment in time was fascinating to me. In an ideal situation, I would have setup my own and shot my own cinema graph. Something like a fly flying across the screen and everything else is still, things like that. I plan to work on this project further, but unfortunately couldn’t perspire during class time.
The clip I took from the movie the Great Gatsby works because the movement of wind through the curtains is very subtle.
Recorded the clip using quicktime. I imported the clip to photoshop from video to frame layers. Made a group with the layers except the first. Made the mask. Converted to timeline. Checked for the time interval between each frame. Exported to loop forever.
