We started off with creating designs for our names. I really enjoyed doing this because I used to do something like this when I was younger.
Here is an image of my ideation:
I wanted to experiment with different fonts and colors. My main aim was to try and incorporate the ombre effect with the use of different colors. I have mainly tried to use warm colors throughout my ideation.
I finally went to with the blue and green design with my name.
I then created the design on illustrator using the pen tool, and added the shadows in the background.
I then used the point gradient tool to add in the gradient of red to green. It was a little harder to as I wanted the transition to be uniformed, I also had to think about a way to balance out the green and red between each other. I did not want the red overpowering the green or the other way round.
I then took a picture of a brick wall and worked on adding the my name onto the brick wall on photoshop.
I then used the tools in photoshop to shape it and place the name onto the wall.
Here is an image of my name onto the wall.
This was my initial file, however the name is extremely hard to see, hence I decided to copy the layers to layer the same over each other and I changed the blending options from normal to the overlay for all the layers, so that the name could be seen properly on the wall.
