Overall, I really liked this class and had a great experience with working with everyone. I really liked learning about the different styles of writings through the readings that we did. Overall, I feel like I was able to improve my writing skills in this class, and the workshops helped me understand everyone else’s writing technique as well. I really enjoyed being introduced to different authors and readings so many different types of readings, that ranged from being part of a novel (Drown) to articles such as 30 days as a Cuban. This really helped me broaden my understanding and knowledge and gain a lot of perspective on specific topics.
Something that I really enjoyed writing was the prose poems, I felt as if it was the most free and I had the ability to write anything.
