The Elements of Packaging
1) Diagramming a Printed Package.
Packaging is often printed in more than the usual four process colors of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Quite often, six or more colors are used, both process and spot colors, plus special clear varnishes and inks to impart a gloss or matte finish overall or in specific areas on the package. This creates an added visual sensation when viewing the package and can be used to emphasize a feature of the product within.
