This was a photo taken by my friend Annie in April, 2020. At that time, the epidemic in China was just getting better, so my friends and I decided to have a picnic outside. When I flew the kite by the lake, I took off my mask, and breathed in the stale but fresh air. That was the first time I came to realize that how precious it was to regain hope after all this. This is why I chose this photo——whenever I meet problems in my life, I should know that I can get over them and be hopeful again.
I major in Strategic Design and Management, so I’m not good at drawing. However, I still plan to approach this class by doing every project carefully. I will engage in every discussion and take in everyone’s reasonable suggestions, and try my best to finish all the assignments, even these are things that I’m weak at.
After taking Drawing/Imaging class, I hope I can learn drawing more thoroughly. I know deeply that I still won’t be a painting genius when it comes to the end, but I really want to experience the time that I can discover my own gifts. Also, I want to be open minded——listen to my peers’ advice, and then fix my problems, get better grades and improve my skills.
Through the college experience, I wish that I will figure out which section I like most in art and what I should choose as my future career. Also, I hope I can be strong enough to face all kinds of difficulties. Just like the featured image I chose——there is always hope waiting for us.
I’m looking forward to the study of next few months!
