In this film, I see and learn about several subcultures, such as the skinhead subculture, neo-Nazi subculture, punk subculture, and mods subculture. The clad characteristics of the skinhead subculture are that they often wear plaid shirts and suspender trousers, and must roll up the trouser ends to expose their socks or leather boots. Almost everyone has a pair of representative Dr. Marten boots. They are often seen as violent because they are politically active and they create a large amount of racist violence. However, they are just lost and are incited by racist movements to join racist atrocities. For the skinheads, the weak faith of passionate righteous words is vulnerable. The so-called patriotism only gives refuge to these weak, frustrated, and angry people. In fact, their hatred of foreigners has no real meaning, but they just transfer it to others for their own disappointment. Combo’s violent attack on the black man, Milky, is only out of envy for the happiness of others. The war is an excuse, and the Cross of St. George is also an excuse. And for Shawn, whether he is a gangster or a skinhead, he just wants to find warmth and comfort.
