I created this blog to serve as a research journal. I aim to explore how dinosaurs, once-living animals within an ecological context, are represented in science, culture, and media. Our understandings of and interactions with dinosaurs and other prehistoric life can only occur through mediated experiences. I hope to examine a variety of texts and media, from relatively straight-forward scientific and paleontological texts and cultural and anthropological studies of dinosaurs in media and culture to comic books, toys, and amusement parks.
