Studio Bridge 2: Peer to Peer Portrait

fullsizerender-5

For my peer to peer bridge I created 2 ‘portraits’ using 2 sheets of 18 x 24 paper as a canvas. I photographed my peer in motion (laughing, jumping, etc) to portray playfulness and match the text I was going to use. For my portrait I collect images of my self. I edited the chosen images on photoshop to give it a repetitive, layered illusion. I chose phrases and words from our found poems we wrote for seminar to incorporate in photoshop on top of the images, to image transfer into the ‘canvas’ and to cut out as individuals.

To piece everything together I mounted the images and some of the text using foam board to create a 3D pop out look and considered negative space and shape. My final outcome is above. I also experimented with other ideas for this project, which are photographed below.
