Robert Sember, Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Arts, participated in NYC Black Pride 2017 which opened with a community conversation on Health as a Human Right.

30 years ago after the founding of ACT UP the LGBT Community Center hosted a gathering of medical providers, policy makers, and community organizers to assert “Healthcare is a Right.” This discussion was held as national debate continues regarding healthcare access and Black gay men continue to be burdened with the highest HIV rates of any community in the world.
