  • All Aesop locations have commonalities within their unique designs: use of plywood, signature sink for centre piece, soundproofing walls, and scent.

 

Elmer Hobes Bobst NYU Library

  • Designed by Johnson and Foster
  • Library 70
  • Textured stone exterior
  • Known as suicide building – 12 story atrium.
  • Bronze aluminum screen added in 2013 after multiple students jump to their death.
  • Anodized bronzed finish on marble used throughout lobby.

 

Feit Store West Village

  • Carved plywood stacked to form interior structure and parti of store.
  • Mirrors lay behind these plywood structures making the room feel maze-like.
  • Raw materials, natural colour pallet.
  • Painted concrete on the floors
  • Interior structure was formed within the store.

 

Aesop Bleecker St.

  • Leather tiles on floor
  • Horse hair rug by door
  • Plywood used for shelving and ceiling design/structure: consistent with all other aesop’s
  • Brass sink center piece
  • Perforated wood wall baseboard used to pump signature scent throughout the store.
