Internship Description:
During my internship at PR Consulting, I gained hands-on experience in the dynamic world of public relations. I was involved in various projects, including media outreach, event planning, and client communications. I assisted in drafting press releases, coordinating with media outlets, and organizing promotional events. My role also included monitoring media coverage and compiling reports for clients. This internship provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the PR industry, honed my communication skills, and strengthened my ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

How has this project been impactful or transformative — for you personally or for those this work has impacted:
What impacted me the most was working within such a large company, at least in my career, which was new for me—specifically working with a young group of people who were respected yet so friendly and charismatic.

What would you do differently? How would you advise a student who is going to do something similar?
I would tell them that the job in itself is very repetitive, however working at a mutli-brand representing firm is ideal to start as it sets you up with so much exposure and tools to excel in the field. I would also advise them that growth is quick in PR and that single brand PR is highly ranked.

How is this experience connected to your academic work?
It helped me during my coursework in Fashion communication, specifically in my marketing and public relations coursework as it directly tied to the discussions and assignments.
