Final Prototype of the Aedes Drone:
The head and body were carved out of balsa foam. They were painted with black and white acrylic paint and were left to dry. Once dry, they were dipped in epoxy resin for a glossy look. The probe was made out of wire, covered in Sculpey and was baked. The propulsion ring was made out of thin board and then painted with gesso. The head, body, ring, and probe were connected by a combination of wire and hot glue.
