Childhood

Our assignment was to take objects that have a sentimental meaning to us and insert them into a surrealist location. I chose my childhood toys that i never threw out. I wanted to create a visual image of what I imagine when I am actually playing with these toys. Therefore I chose to photograph all my objects and create a fight scene between all of the characters through Photoshop. Next I printed the image on a plotter printer the size of 28×16. I also printed a landscape photo the same size. I created layers by making a box with a 28×16 plexi glass in front. Next I photo transferred the landscape onto the plexi glass, giving it a transparent effect. I also scrapped away some parts of the image so i can reveal the fight scene behind it. I wanted this to give it a foggy affect during a fight in the deserts.

One special effect I created was adding light. I had a character with a magician staff so I decided to cut a hole through the back of the box without penetrating the paper. This way when I added an LED light in the back, which lit up the crystal of the staff.
