I found the audio walk an intriguing concept to being with. I like that it was so specific to one person experience yet it was set in a widely accessed place. I’m sure there are many personal memories and stories that take place in the central park and this gave us an up-close personal look at one. The people she saw and situations that where referenced seemed as though they were yet as you experienced the walk there were occasions where the same thing would be happening. For example, at one point she said this is where an Asian cupel is getting their wedding photos taken and right as we walked under the tunnel there were an again women in a wedding dress being photographed. This happened again at the beginning of the walk when she described a man sitting on a specific bench alone. I liked how she told a story from an outside perspective. In a way, it de-romanced the concept yet, exposed her for her insecurities and privet desires. She also mocks and insults the common actions of others in the park. A good example of this is when you walk along the bridge and she is expanding how no one there taking pictures can capture the actual beauty. As I walked along that same bridge I found myself paying more attention and being more judgemental of there actions. I saw people posing multiple times for their Instagram posts. This made me realize that the people that where there were all trying to capture the beauty through the lens instead of capturing the memory of reality. This was a sad realization but also strange to see well listening to such a heartfelt piece. I found this podcast to be very successful an truly enjoyed participating in the walk.
