Concept:
Focusing on the elements of design, effective composition, and gestalt principles, students create a detailed cut-paper collage using iconic objects as a vehicle for abstraction.
I (unknowingly) chose the pencil to base my abstraction on. I wanted it to be less literal than just a pencil and played around with ideas for content.
