Three Artifacts

Three Artifacts

CO-VA

In choosing three artifacts that best represented myself, I questioned where I came from, and what I valued most in life.

Nature

Thanks to being born and raised in Colorado, I grew up in a city, but learned to appreciate the beauty of nature and all it has to offer. From going camping every summer, to sitting in parks for hours, I realized that these days, the majority of people are too preoccupied to take a step back, and simply enjoy breathing in the fresh air.

Loved Ones

Colorado to Virginia Beach, I spent the past summer with some of the most amazing people, documenting through Polaroids not only to capture the essence of a memory, but to remain physical and true. By surrounding myself around those that truly love me for me, I had never felt happier. My friends and loved ones are a huge part of my life, and directly influence my work, art, and emotions.

The City

Now, I begin a new chapter of life, and after spending three years in a little beach town I finally get to return to a city. After moving to Virginia Beach, I learned the importance of self-love and hard work. When I first moved here, I didn’t quite ‘fit in’, but instead of making that a negative, I took the time and spent it by myself. While it may not have the mountains of Colorado, I am more than excited to move to New York City, and get back to the fast paced life-style I adore. Also, going to a school where the weird artsy kid is normal will definitely be a plus.
