I really agree with this quote. I believe fashion is a great study that incorporates art, science, mathematics, sociology, and psychology together. I chose fashion design because I thought it is a good combination of different areas of knowledge. Fashion is not only to use the artistic creativity to design beautiful garments but also is to design for all varieties of people in this society. People have different body sizes, heights, styles and special needs for their clothes. While designing clothes, the designers had to make sure that the garment is not only beautiful but also practical. The process of transforming a garment from 2D to 3D requires not only artistic talent but also meticulous calculation and sewing techniques. Fashion is always trying to find a balance between all these elements.

If I agree with the first quote from the view of designers, I agree with this second quote from the view of every individual spirit in this society. Everyone has the freedom and right to dress themselves the way they wanted. Nowadays, as there are more selections of clothes, fashion has become a great way of expressing who they are. It might not be their private-self, but definitely their public personalities, or the images they want to show to the public. From the clothes people wear, I can learn a lot about their personality. Dressing styles can even become the signature of certain people that whenever I see similar clothes, they remind me of the person who wheres this style a lot.
