Title: Dada
Description: This piece is on a memory of my grandfather and me since I lost him five months ago. The young girl in the piece represents me going back to my childhood when I spent all the time with him. He was more than a father to me. The butterflies represent my grandfather because he was full of life. The pattern in the background symbolise how carefree and protected I felt around him and how dependent I was on him. Right now, my relationship with him feels incomplete since I feel that I was just getting to know him better. The title is “Dada” because that’s what I use to call him.
