My name is Hao. I am currently living and studying fine arts in New York. I am the fourth-year student. My major is Fine Arts and I am minoring in Museum and Curatorial Studies. I am from China. Some of my art interests are color theory, color field painting, space, textile art, and spontaneous abstraction painting.
I made some paintings, drawings, videos, installation, ceramic pieces in the previous semesters. I like to try different painting methods of composing shapes and lines. I like the use of delightful colors palette and gradient colors. I am also interested in trying different textures on the painting surface. Here is one of my paintings.
I enjoy the aesthetic of form in painting. I also like to research links among painting, sensation, and emotion. Now I am trying acrylic paint in order to experiment with different acrylic mediums.
I think it is important to think about how painting communicate with viewers. Now I am researching some archives about my painting idea of space. I hope to complete plenty of of paintings in this semester.
