Journey to New York

My brainstorm notes:

For this project, I decided to use cartoon-liked drawings to show a simple overview of my three-years journey from China to New York. Three years ago, I chose and prepared to study broad in the United States, which is represented as the bubble at left corner. In this first bubble, the black line next to the Chinese Flag is a map outline of my hometown, Tianjin, China. The fabric scissor is cutting through, which shows my non-stopping trip, as well as my dream of becoming a fashion designer. The second bubble on the far right is about my high school life in Wilmington, Delaware, the United States. I have developed more interest in Fashion Design, so I went to Pratt Institute and Parsons School Of Design summer programs in New York for two summers, which is represented in the bottom bubble, New York City. I have also spend my third year summer in New York City after I graduated from high school, because I went to an ESL program in The New School. The bubble of New York is incomplete because there is more to come.

If you ask me to choose the one of  most successful part of this long journey, I think it will be the moment I said goodbye to my family and started my solo. Because it is the beginning of the journey, which takes a lot of courage and preparation to start.
