Exhibit: Drawing Codes

I went to the exhibit on Wednesday but for some reason it was closed. Due to my early travel arrangements I had to leave the next day therefore, I couldn’t see the exhibit in person. My friend took photos for me to get a deeper insight of the drawings and I chose two of my favourites from the collection. Just by looking at the photos, I am extremely captivated by the geometric forms and the shades of black.

  • Convergence, from the Fourier Carpet Series
I found this piece alluring because of the straight lines that are almost non visible. I like how some of the lines are shorter than the other creating a dynamic movement. I especially lime the 5 white vertical lines that makes the piece more interesting.

  • Double Agent Operations
I like this piece because there is so much happening in one picture. It almost looks like it’s going to burst out from the paper. The circles and the small circles, lines and dots inside make a mysterious look and it makes me want to look closer and closer until my face is touching the piece.
