This piece is the combination of my two previous ideas. In this selfie grid, the only reality is the black cube in the middle, where no aspect of my face can be seen. Because that is the only image which I am not choosing the camera angle intentionally to suit the composition I desire to make.
The grid progresses from low contrast, low exposure, high saturation to high contrast, high exposure, black & white photos of me. This treatment of images symbolizes the process of me growing up, trying to get more practical and realistic about my life but instead lost my self and become vaguer and faker. I played with the grid a little bit to make it looks less rigid and more random. It is still a 5 x 5 grid but the boundary disappeared due to the white background in the black and white photos. I also placed photos cautiously to form an orbit like shape, signifying the expansion and extension of my life going onward in future.
