OSS Visit

The OSS project opens up an opportunity for the community to work together and to contribute to the environment. In addition, shaped as Manhattan, the public garden gives a character to the Dychman Housing neighborhood. Being able to actually witness and experience gardening with my classmates, I’ve learned an odd charm about the way basic labor was therapeutic. Even though I was constantly digging, I was also laughing along with my classmates. By stepping out of the classroom and going to this field trip, it also allowed me an opportunity to talk to people I’ve never talked to before in class. Not only that, but this field trip also taught me the importance of having a community engagement as a whole to start from a small step and then eventually affecting the many others around them.
