This film shows an insight of seven different communities located on different parts of the world and the way they are dealing with the climate crisis. It allows us to take a look at not only the bad consequences dealing with the climate crisis, but also the benefits it provides. It shows how in hopes of a better environment, people have come together to fight for these issues. This film was interesting and eye-opening, because I have never thought to associate positive things with the climate crisis. However, at the same time, I was informed by the bad consequences that we are now dealing with because of this issue. I was particularly intrigued by the dust problems in China, because I know that this has recently become a huge issue in my homeland, South Korea. Masks, which have been usually worn in spring to avoid pollen allergies, have become an essential to everyday life throughout all four season. It was scary seeing how the dust problem shown in the film was from only 3 years ago and thinking about how much the problem has worsened over the course of 3 years. In addition, it was also interesting how they also gave a positive aspect of environmental issues — organizations. I really liked when the film stated that fighting for these issues are not only fighting for the polar bears, but it is about fighting for everyone, particularly myself. One of the main reasons people neglect these issues is because they don’t see the direct consequences to them and shifts the responsibility to others, but by providing this statement, it provides a clear reason why we should fight for better environment. Although this film gave a hopeful aspect of climate crisis, it also provided us the dangers and alerted the viewers the reason to fight for change.
