The Assignment

for this assignment, we were instructed to create new fun and creative way to inform the Paris about their water. to help understand and get some background knowledge we went and visited Pavilion de l’Eau this was helpful to see the ways which they inform the public and how to see where Paris gets it to water from and how it all work.

for this, we were then put into groups where we would start to brainstorm some ideas that we could represent the water system in a micro and a macro scale.

The Process

for myself it was hard for both the members in my group were not present for the class trip to Pavilion de l’Eau luckily I had taken a lot of photos which I was able to share and show them. after this, we then started to form some ideas on a micro and a macro scale while thinking of a unique way of displaying.

creating the sketch took me some time. we wanted to find a way that we could somehow fit both the micro and macro into one form. after some draft sketches and. ideas being thrown around we ended up with a circle from since the water systems are in cycles this worked best. we were also able to then but a fun logo design in the middle of the circle.

something which we did take into consideration was the language. since this is aimed to inform the Paris community it made sense for it to be in French and English that way we are able to have a larger target audience informing more people.

Printing and Cutting the Stickers:

thankfully a friend of ours had used sticker paper for a previous assignment so we were able to use their sheets of paper.

Informing the Public:

Four our presentation we wanted to show what it would look like for our stickers to be displayed around Paris. As you can see from the images below I went around to Monoprix and our school where I placed our stickers in water-based locations. This was quite fun and I think it was very effective. I even received a few compliments on creativity when displaying them at school.

The Final

overall I am very happy with our final product I think that we successfully met the criteria of this assignment and ended up with a rather different and unique project. I believe that by having our project in a sticker it allows to inform more people on a larger scale. considering that. we actually did place our stickers in water locations around Paris.
