my final book

for my final book presentation form I wanted to create something different and somehow incorporate the materials which I used to create my final into it. When designing and brainstorming ideas, this one, using parts of actual tree bark was my favourite. When constructing this cover, I used many different types of tree bark which I collected from fallen trees near my house. I then proceeded to glue the bark to create a unique tree trunk-like shape. Once I had completed that I then used the cellophane from my project to create some burning flams and some black tissue paper to act as ash.

Since my cover is quite large and well different, I didn’t want to have the standard traditional page formal one would normally have. So instead I decide to use the cellophane from my windows, fold it up and use that. I am very happy that I chose to do this for not only am I making good use out of my materials but I think that is a fun and different approach to my book. on the pages of the book, I have selected certain images of my final project, images from my house, my progress, news reports, media postings and of course some parts of my final paper.

As you may be able to see in the images below and the video, I have also placed different coloured cellophane and some cut-outs from my final behind the main sheet. Trying to give a similar effect in which my main project did.

overall I believe that my book is a great representation of my final seminar/studio project, truly capturing my assignment while displaying my work in a fun manner.
