My Breakfast

my breakfast. this meal started when I was living in Paris. It was there best breakfast, lunch or dinner when I felt like it.  three corn thins / rice crackers. half a smooshed avocado on them followed by a sprinkle of salt flakes. A dusting of Chilli flakes and a good drizzle of the Best Australian honey. While prepping this base two eggs cracked into a pot of water and vinegar will be. Boiling away. Poached eggs. My favourite way to have eggs. When I was younger I used to struggle a lot with poaching eggs. I would make a mess, over cook the eggs or just end up absolutely destroying them. These days thanks to a years worths of poached eggs every day I can just about guarantee a perfect egg every time.

The soft egg, runny yolk, smooth avocado and crunchy corn thin. This meal trill captures many sensations. Followed by a salty, spicy, sweet flavour sensation that mixes and combines along with the yolk. When tell you there is never any scraps on my plate after this meal I mean it. No plate shall return to the kitchen dirty. Every part is scraped, licked and enjoyed.

Although I recently. Stopped making this meal everyday I still make sure to have it every now and then so I don’t lose that poached egg skill 😉

my sketches

Updated Sketches

These updated sketches have been developed more in detail, shading and light. After some more comments from my class. everyone was very supportive and hungry. We discussed the transition from pot to plate and all agreed that i should add a transition scene.

Final Sketches

Below are my final submission for my novel drawings. Overall I am proud of the work which I have created and my progress documentation. I believe that I have truly captured exactly what this meal is to me and how I make it. I am always looking for an opportunity to practice my animation skills. although they aren’t the incredible anime studio level of art. I see parts that are pretty darn close. Creating this assignment was a challenged. trying to perfect the shapes and create a source of lighting working with shadows took some time. In the end i have produced work which i am more than happy yo share with everyone.
