I created 2 of the 5 bottles for my final projects. This helped me begin to get a strong handle of the materials I chose. Also, the process of creating these bottles helped me to learn which fabrics were best for the application of paint and how to create a variety of textures- sort of an extension to my earlier material investigation where I used only felt but a variety of different paint mixtures.
Critique:
I recieved some informal critique on the bottles. Overall the consensus was that while my concept was strong, the visuals were lacking. Hopefully my final photographs will be as interesting as they can be. One helpful suggestion I received was to cover the entire bottle in collage, not just the front side. They look more finished this way and allow more margin for error when taking the photos.
