For our soundwalk we had a few different ideas. Our first two were Cropsey and the mole people. Cropsey was an urban legend started in Staten Island, which turned out to be about an actual serial killer. The Mole People, is an urban legend about people who supposedly live in the train stations under NYC and run a whole community. The idea we ended up with was the legend of Rudolph Fentz. Rudolph Fentz was a supposed time traveller who ended up getting hit by a car in the middle of Times Square. When admitted to the hospital, officials found multiple items on him that were extremely outdated.

Our work went smoothly for the most part. Everyone in the group had a chance to talk and contribute ideas throughout our whole process. The style of our final sound piece gives off a more podcast-like finish, rather than the soundwalks we listened to in some of our classes. This made more sense considering the route we decided to go with our project. At first, we had the time traveler idea, but we weren’t sure how to integrate it throughout the whole soundwalk. We then decided, as a group, that it would make sense to go over the history of times square and how it came to be what it’s known as now.
The team worked well together. Every person in the group was given a part to do, we mostly worked through a google drive folder where we would drop all of our work so the team would have access to it. Sometimes it would seem like one person was taking lead for our group, but that was fine since it worked really well for us.
