- The first image is my attempt at doing a layout and trying to use some of the principles of graphic design that were discussed in the videos.
- Images 2-9 are the images done in class
- The last 3 images are pictures from around the city to show the different design principles we’re learning about. The first one is from a train station, it’s meant to show symmetry and framing. The design of the train station is symmetric on each side and the framing of the picture is meant to emphasize that. The second image is in school and shows hierarchy of the objects. Some are put closer to the foreground in order to bring more attention to certain parts of the work. The objects in the back are lit so they have more focus on them, even though they’re in the background. The third image is in the NYU Bobst library. It shows a grid because of the pattern of the ceiling windows which very closely resembles a grid pattern.
