Studio 2 Bridge 4

For my final studio project I designed, created an original pattern for, and hand sewed a blouse as a physical metaphor for the fabulous, timeless beauty as a means of claiming visibility that made Studio 54 irreplaceable. The blouse was inspired by four of Antonio Lopez’ drawings for Karl Lagerfeld (1972). Antonio was a key figure in the Studio 54 sphere and an equally irreplaceable artist. I used Adobe Illustrator to trace low-resolution images of these drawings so I could hang them behind my blouse to present.
