For sustainable systems, our class created a park out of a parking space situated in front of the Eugene Lang building. Our class was divided into different teams to create the space; this included the marketing team, education team, design team, regenerative team, and mechanical team. I was a part of the education team, which had to educate the public about the park but also sustainability and climate change in relation to NYC. My group chose to educate the public through the game Jeopardy. We created a board with the categories plastics, climate change, divestment, renewable energy, and solutions from 100-400. We wrote the questions and answers on recycled cardboard. If people got any of the 300 or 400 questions correct, we gave them a glass mason jar to promote reusable drinking bottles rather than wasteful plastic bottles. Even though it was a very cold and windy morning when we set up, we got a bunch of people to come and interact with our game and the park. Eventually we moved inside to the Eugene Lang building and interacted with the students.
