Urban Sustainability
As I look outside the window, I spotted one building that stood out from the rest, and that building is none other than The New School University Center. The building contains a modern structure and is very spacious. I remember having seen the LEED Certification on one of the glass windows of the building. Because it is important to design something that is sustainable and practical, I was curious about the architect who designed the University Center.

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is a design firm and is well-known for their architectural designs. They designed the World Trade Center and many other famous buildings around the world. Not only do SOM design skyscrapers but also schools, airports, hospitals, etc. What sets SOM apart from many other firms is that they focus on sustainable aspect designs and urban designs.
