Her name is Mimi Jarrunpattana from Bangkok, Thailand. She begins studying abroad since she was 13 and traveled to many places that inspired her to become an aspiring designer. During her high school years, she became interested in architecture and interior design and had the opportunity to take an intensive architecture course. She is familiar with CAD programs like ArchiCad and SketchUp. During her sophomore and junior year in high school, she had the opportunity to intern at one of the leading architecture firms in Thailand (Architects 49 http://www.a49.com/), which enhanced her experience and passion to become an architect one day. She attended conferences, took part in a project of designing a futuristic skyscraper, meet with suppliers, and learned from professionals.
Mimi chose to major in Strategic Design and Management as she was unsure of her skills and worried about the challenges if she were to major in Architecture. She decided to come to Parsons for Strategic Design and Management, but after a semester, she wants to change her major to Interior Design. Now, she is trying her best to achieve that goal.
