Bridge 1: Room Ekphrasis Project

Before I began to write, I observed the room very closely, made sure I looked at each and every corner so that I can vividly explain it in my essay. After that, I went back and pictured myself when I entered the room for the first time. What my thoughts were at that time? What was I feeling? I also made sure I note down all the emotions and feelings I had. The process took me quite long because I wanted to organize and make it sound very descriptive. I feel like writing what I want to say is harder than imagining and noting it on paper. I think trying to describe something that allows the reader to picture something without giving a context is quite hard. Therefore, when I first started writing, I felt it was difficult to get the right words out. I spent quite a long time writing and editing along the way. If I had more time to work on Bridge 1, I wish I had focused more on explaining how the room has impacted me. Moreover, I wish I had more time so that I could go to the Learning Center to have someone go over the grammatical mistakes and sentence structures. Now that we are starting a new project, I should plan ahead and make sure I have enough time to write and edit. Because Bridge Project 2 is a research paper, which involves a lot of good research with reliable sources, I think I should make sure I schedule an appointment at the Learning Center.
