For this second face mask project my approach was more focused on the detailing of the work than making it more 3D, we are given the task to convey our feelings towards high school in the format of a collage yet it has to be some sort of mask. It took me quite some time to come up with an idea because I had different emotions and thoughts everyday when I was in high school so I decided to make a pair of sunglasses, because that is what catches people’s attention the first time they meet someone – their eyes. Our eyes has emotions written all over them so I decided to take that as an advantage. I made a pair of sunglasses which could change into different lenses. I wrote down what I valued and what I think was important in my high school experience and combined with my detachable lenses.
Education First – I believe our educations we broaden our horizons to the world of knowledge and I’m very passionate about art that I wish to pursue more and learn more.
I don’t care, honey. – There will always be haters and people who don’t like you but you just have to block them out. We can’t all please everyone.
Boys can wait. – Put yourself first, put your education first, put your family first. If it’s meant to be, it will be yours sooner or later.
Girls support girls – Why go against each other when you can help each other become better?
