In my midterm critique, Nick and Nancy made mentioned that the plexi glass frame and connection is too limiting and final. However, the way I envisioned my wall facade being used was to make the bend wood be the main focus while possibly having some light seep through from the back in order to illuminate the room and I figured plexi glass would be the solution for this. Yet, I agree that a wooden connection would be more logical and it wouldn’t distract from the actual bent material since I’d be using the same material for both the material and joinery. However, if I were to keep using frames as the other reviewer suggested, then I would have to make them as adjustable as the actual bendable wood itself because its current modification only allows for the installation to be applied on flat surfaces. So, maybe developing a set of different frames that conform to different surfaces could help this facade be more of a skin that can be mounted on several surfaces and create different sequences than just repeating slopes.IMG_2157 IMG_2097 IMG_2103 IMG_2156
