Int Seminar: Formal Analysis of Monument

The National Monument Stonewall Inn Bar’s front wall:

  It is a red brick wall with a window about two meters wide and one meter high in the middle.

Red LED lights form the name of the bar, “The Stonewall Inn’ in a geometric shape and green LED lights are dangling vertically from the window. There are many posters of the latest shows and slogans that support LGBTQ people stick to the window. 

  On the left side of the red brick wall, there is a black door. A word, “PRIDE” was painted on it, the word is capitalized, largely bolded and coated with thick white paints and red paints. The red paints create shadows and the white paints create lights which add three dimensional looks to the decoration.

  On the right side of the brick wall, there is an introduction of the historical background of the monument bar. It has golden letters carved on it and a black background which made the letters stood out.

  Above the brick wall is the second floor of this monument bar, there are dozens of hand size rainbow flags hanging vertically down creating a three lines of rainbow flags. The rainbow flags has bright colors and some of them have symbols of LGBTQ on it. When the wind blows, the rainbow flags dangle. There is a banner down those rainbow flags written “ Raising the bar together” and there is also a rainbow on it.
